Meet Erin!
GoodStarter Erin Kiifner lives in Georgetown, TX with her husband Kyle, who works for a commercial construction company, and her son, who is in middle school and her daughter, who is in elementary school.
Erin has been a GoodStarter for just over one year.
Before becoming a GoodStarter, Erin was a stay at home parent for many years. She was beginning to feel unsure about what direction to go as she applied for jobs. “As a person with a background/education in mental health, I was hoping to find a job where I could continue to use my ability to connect with and support people. Being a GoodStarter allows me to do this while also making it easy for me to continue to meet the needs of my family.”
Erin says she wanted a job where she could work from home and still make meaningful connections with people. Because Pleio offers the freedom of a flexible schedule, she can schedule her work hours around her calendar for the week.
When Erin’s asked what she likes about being a GoodStarter, she doesn’t hesitate with her reply. “Everyone at Pleio works hard to cultivate a positive and supportive atmosphere and that makes it such a joy to come to work. It’s so helpful knowing that there is always someone available to answer your questions or provide feedback. I also love connecting with patients! It’s such a great feeling knowing that you helped someone learn more about their medication or improve their routine.”
When Erin’s not connecting with patients and helping them on their medication routines, she enjoys reading and doing anything that lets her be creative. She collects cookbooks and loves trying new recipes!
In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and trying new foods they find in the store, like a weird chip flavor or a new kind of Oreo!
Her takeaway from being a GoodStarter? She reminds people:
“Something as simple as a friendly voice on the phone can brighten someone’s day.”
Our GoodStarters connect with thousands of patients every day when they are their most human, vulnerable selves. It’s connections like these, that offer kindness, motivation, and the encouragement to manage and be successful on ones’ health journey.
Being human is simpler than you think.
