What’s up with patient engagement?
What patient engagement means to three top pharma leaders.
We asked three of pharma’s coolest innovation leaders how they define patient engagement during our recent webinar, “Must-Haves and Predictions for Patient Engagement in 2024.” Here is a summary of how Jess Every from GSK, Nick Lucente from Bayer, and Amy West from Novo Nordisk responded.
Jess emphasizes meeting patients where they are in their health journey, using various channels, and communicating in ways that patients can understand and relate to culturally.
Nick takes a holistic view of patient engagement, recognizing the importance of direct and indirect engagement and tailoring support to patients’ needs throughout their healthcare journey.
Amy offers insights into the social determinants of health and the need to understand patients as individuals, taking into account factors beyond the clinical setting – such as the environment, education, and financial status.
That’s not all we asked…the conversation focuses on the challenge of engaging non-hand raisers and addressing emotional barriers, which adds depth to the patient engagement conversation. We also tap into the role of humans in healthcare and how to better engage underserved communities.
While he never got to host Saturday Night Live, Michael Oleksiw, our CEO, had a great discussion with these all-star industry experts – it’s a must-watch!
