Meet Vern Denault!
GoodStarter Vern Denault lives in St. Anne, Illinois with his wife, mother, two sons, and two cats. His wife, Shelly, is a teacher for their youngest son, Harrison, who is homeschooled, while also caring for his mother. Their older son, Neil, is a musician. They have two cats, Shadow and Humperdink.
Vern has been one of Pleio’s most renowned GoodStarters for the past twelve years. He originally learned about Pleio through a website promoting work-from-home jobs and both he and Shelly decided to apply.
“Shelly actually got hired before I did. I had been making calls with another company, which were high pressure and intense sales calls. Pleio seemed like it would be more helpful to people and less stressful for me. Plus, the flexible schedule was hard to beat!”
While the schedule and low-pressure of working at Pleio initially drew Vern to become a GoodStarter, that’s not what kept him here for over a decade. “I enjoy talking with different people every day and helping them with their medication routines. Some people are just happy to have someone lend them a sympathetic ear.”
When Vern is not helping patients manage their medication routine, he spends his time playing guitar, drawing, reading, going to church, and rewatching episodes of The Office and his favorite movies with his wife.
“I am grateful to Pleio for the opportunity I have had to work here for over twelve years! I am thankful for the thousands of people I have been able to help with their prescriptions and healthcare routines. This job has been a blessing for me. The schedule flexibility, easy-going interaction with people on the phone, and my co-workers and staff have been wonderful.”
A special thanks to Vern for sharing his GoodStarter story. Vern, like so many of our GoodStarters, are the backbone of Pleio and without them we wouldn’t be able to help over 1.5M patients break through the emotional barriers associated with adherence and manage their healthcare journey each year.
